Voices of Youth is a telecollaborative website sponsored by Unicef that allows youth throughout the world to exchange information and ideas with each other and to have an audience for their work. Youth may submit written or filmed works, as well as commenting on each others' work and participating in discussions on a wide variety of topics that are of interest and importance to young people. Originating in 1995, Voices of Youth hosts content from young people representing more than 200 countries, including the United States, India, France, Pakistan, South Korea, Nigeria, Croatia, and many others.

Because of its collaborative nature and its cross-cultural goals, Voices of Youth is an excellent tool that will allow students to connect with youth from various backgrounds and to build skills in the areas of writing, reading comprehension, digital communication, and cultural sensitivity. This website will describe the use of Voices of Youth as a part of a unit, called Factors that Affect Student Learning, for the Teacher Academy of Maryland students at Eastern Technical High School in Baltimore, Maryland.
